Briefing:
As senior software engineer and lead developer of the R&D team you are part of our
multi-disciplinary and
distributed DevOps team consisting of Software-, QA-, and Operational Engineers in The Netherlands and Romania. Working from our Amsterdam branch, you will have a leading role in
innovating our product, designing
new features, exploring
new technologies and building
Proof of Concepts. As part of the R&D team you will be involved from the beginning in designing features of OK in close co-operation with our product management team and business representatives. In two weekly
sprints you contribute to the further expand and improvement of OK. Your vision on technology, trends, tools and techniques will bring OK to the next level!
Our platform consists of a number of
Java applications, hosted in the
AWS cloud. In our Java applications, we use the
Spring framework , Spring Securtiy, Spring Data, Spring Boot, Tomcat, Hibernate, Jersey, etc. The OK platform is still under development:
new functionality is added continuously, integrations with external service providers are implemented and we
continuously improve the scalability and performance of the applications.
Requirements:- Java, Spring, Hibernate and Jersey frameworks and Apache Tomcat
- You have a degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and at least 5 years’ experience in software development.
- You have the ability to understand business requirements and converting them into software solutions
- You get energized from Innovation, designing new features and building POC’s
- You understand Payments, Loyalty, AWS, Distributed Systems and Web service
- You are familiar with Agile / Scrum
- You are a self-starter and you have good communication skills
- You have a solid command of Dutch language (native Dutch is a pre)
